William S. Thornton, Jr.

Attorney William S. Thornton, Jr. has been a partner at Bruchez, Goss, Thornton, Meronoff & Briers, P.C. since 1983. His practice is broad and diverse, though he often handles matters within the scope of real estate law, business and corporate law, banking law, oil and gas litigation, probate, and estate planning. Mr. Thornton earned his J.D. from Baylor University in 1979 and is a second generation real estate lawyer in the Bryan, TX area.

Patricia E. Meronoff

Attorney Patricia E. Meronoff joined Bruchez, Goss, Thornton, Meronoff & Briers, P.C. in 1982 and has been a partner since 1990. She focuses her practice on real estate, estate planning, business law, and municipal and county government law. Her real estate law services are a large part of her overall practice – she handles a wide range of real estate transactions for contractors, mortgage lenders, developers, landowners, and municipalities. Ms. Meronoff earned her J.D. from West Virginia University in 1978.

Joseph N. Briers

Attorney Joseph N. Briers joined Bruchez, Goss, Thornton, Meronoff & Briers, P.C. in 2013 and became a partner in 2017. Mr. Briers focuses his practice on oil and gas, real estate, and civil litigation. He handles a wide range of contract matters and often handles disputes for land and mineral owners. Mr. Briers frequently negotiates oil and gas leases, pipeline easements, surface and water use agreements, and seismic survey permits. He attended Texas Tech School of Law and earned his J.D. in 2012.
